Her Story

About Ruth

Ruth Kaufhold serves as the Brevard County Constitution Coach in Florida, where she independently volunteers to teach constitutional curriculum drawn from Patriot Academy, Wall Builders, and Providence Foundation. She instructs classes on Constitutional Live, Biblical Citizenship, and Rebuilding Liberty, having educated more than 500 participants from ages 5 to 84 through Lunch and Learns, church settings, and homeschool programs. After retiring in 2016 from her profession as a systems engineer and designer of Medicaid Management Information Systems, she pursued her interest in family history and began comparing current issues to biblical principles and the experiences of America's founders. Kaufhold earned her bachelor's degree in computer science and computer programming from Central Missouri State University in 1981 and maintains affiliations with the Salt and Light Council, Liberty Council, and Honor America Incorporated, which oversees the Liberty Bell Museum. As a founding member of Federated Republican Women in Action and a minister at Victory in Christ Jesus Ministries Church, she also belongs to the Daughters of the American Revolution Commodore John Berry chapter. She attributes her work to a commitment to trust, honesty aligned with the Ten Commandments, and Judeo-Christian values, supported by her husband, pastor, and Christian community.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Ruth

01What do you attribute your success to?

I would say just a belief in my husband and my pastor and a Christian community that I can trust. Doing the right thing is very important for me. As long as I have my husband he can keep me on track as well as a pastor and a Christian community that I can trust. I consult with God and I have a pastor that believes in me and helps me stay on the right track.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

You can do anything. It doesn't matter what you see in the mirror it doesn't matter what gender you are as long as you have a desire and that you engage with God on a daily basis. If you're willing to do the work you can do anything. I never ask anybody permission to do the work I'm doing because I believed it was natural and it was I have a duty to my family my military family I have a duty to my Christian family to make sure America succeeds.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Just keep teaching. John Jay one of our founders has 6 verbs that he told to people and not just children or schools. He said you must read study and teach the Bible so that you know when to defend and assert it. So the same thing for the Constitution. You need to read study and teach the Constitution so you know when to defend it or assert it. Don't get discouraged just because you're a woman. We're all Americans. We all are supposed to be influenced by our Judeo-Christian values that God created for us to live by. And if you stand on that I think everybody can be successful.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

If you lie cheat or steal I have no value for that. I have no trust for you. So if I can't trust you I don't want to associate with you. Those are the things that I value. Anything in the Ten Commandments basically you know the summary of the Bible the Ten Commandments. I want to be able to trust. And if you stab me in the back I'm gonna keep moving. I don't have time.
