Ruth Laureano

I came to the United States in 1994 from the Philippines. Right after college, I worked as a claims adjuster at Progressive Insurance and became their number one claims adjuster for a year and a half before leaving when I got pregnant. I decided to focus on being a full-time mom for 10 years. In 2015, when my son was older, I went back to corporate at TPX Communications with zero background in telecom, but I was President's Club every year until I left. I traveled the world because of those wins - Italy, Barbados, Fiji, China. In 2021, I left TPX when my mom was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, and I took time off to take care of her. I went back in 2022 to the channel side of telecom, working as vice president of sales for another agency. In 2024, I opened Laureano Technology Solutions. Now I have over 30 plus sub-advisors or technology advisors under me that refer customers and bring customers to me. My role is to negotiate pricing on their behalf and strategize what each customer needs. We don't just sell the solution to the customer - we manage the implementation and even after installation, so it's a continuous process. I work mainly from home, but I go out in the field to meet with customers and providers. I have relationships at the executive levels with Spectrum, Comcast, AT&T, so when our customers have issues, they get taken care of. I love problems - people run away from problems, but I chase them because I know those problems are opportunities waiting to be solved.
