Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I believe my success is primarily due to the guidance and blessings of Almighty God—without Him, I could not have achieved anything. I am also deeply grateful to my family for instilling in me qualities like compassion, strength, independence, and determination to follow my dreams. Their support taught me the importance of hard work and staying focused, even during challenging times. Additionally, the support of friends I’ve made along my journey has played a significant role in my growth and accomplishments.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is to stay true to myself and trust my abilities. It’s important to pursue what I’m passionate about, remain persistent through challenges, and always be willing to learn and grow. I believe success also comes from treating others with respect and dignity, recognizing their worth, and fostering positive relationships along the way.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering the healthcare industry is to believe in your purpose and the profound impact you can make. The science of caring is at the heart of what we do—treat each patient and their family with respect and dignity, because genuine compassion and empathy are what truly bring value to your work. Stay confident in your abilities, continuously seek knowledge, and never underestimate the power of kindness. Your dedication, integrity, and care can transform lives, including your own.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in healthcare today is the high demands and emotional stress that come with caring for patients, especially during times of crisis like the pandemic. There’s also a need for ongoing education and adapting to rapidly evolving medical practices. However, there is a glimpse of hope with opportunities to incorporate AI into the field, which can enhance patient care, streamline administrative tasks, and support healthcare professionals. This integration offers a chance to deepen our skills, innovate in healing, and build stronger relationships with those we serve. The science of caring, combined with new technologies, has the potential to transform lives and improve community health

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are integrity, leadership, compassion, and dedication. Integrity ensures I act honestly and ethically in all situations. Leadership is about inspiring and guiding others with purpose and confidence, fostering a positive and collaborative environment. Compassion helps me build genuine connections and serve others with kindness, while dedication motivates me to continuously grow and make a meaningful impact. Together, these values shape the way I lead my life and serve those around me.
