Sable earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, with a minor in Philanthropy, from Indiana University - Kelley School of Business. During her time at Kelley, she was active in student leadership and service, founding the Kappa Omega chapter of Alpha Chi Omega, serving as chapter secretary, and representing her school at the National Character and Leadership Symposium at the United States Air Force Academy. Her early professional experiences include accounting roles at BGBC Advisory, LLC and Sonny’s Car Wash Services Midwest, as well as internships with Katz, Sapper & Miller, where she gained hands-on expertise in tax and audit work.

Beyond her professional work, Sable has been deeply involved in community service and youth leadership programs. She has volunteered with the Meadowstone Therapeutic Riding Center for over a decade, giving children and adults with disabilities opportunities to experience equine-assisted activities. She has also been active in the Johnson County 4-H program and the Pony of the Americas, serving in leadership roles and mentoring youth. Passionate about fostering growth and encouraging others, Sable combines her professional acumen with a lifelong commitment to community engagement and volunteerism.

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to the encouragement and support of the people around me — coworkers, mentors, and family. Having a strong, supportive community, or what I often think of as a 'village,' has been essential to my growth and progress.

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received was to pursue work I’m truly passionate about and to push through challenges, especially early in my career.

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would advise young women entering my industry to be open-minded and curious: ask plenty of questions, absorb as much information as possible, adapt to the realities of practice, and discover your own niche within the field.

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenges in my field right now include continually learning and staying current, managing the emotional demands of the work, and balancing the pressures of public accounting with the responsibilities of being a working mother. At the same time, pursuing CPA licensure presents a significant opportunity for professional growth and advancement.

The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are honesty, integrity—doing the right thing even when it’s difficult—and genuinely caring for others.
