Her Interview

Ten minutes with Sabrina

01What do you attribute your success to?

People have been so generous and kind in their willingness to connect me with others. I feel like the generosity of people in my community and the willingness to connect me with others and see my mission through has been why we are where we are today. I also reference BNI's givers gain philosophy.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Just go for it and do it scared. A former board member said you don't need everything perfect, just call them. Another example of advertising a book before writing it and then committing once people signed up.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Keep moving forward, prioritize mental health, focus on personal growth and self care. Whatever personal things you need to work through will show up in your work, so take time for yourself as an investment in your business.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Believing in yourself and not being afraid to put something out there before it's ready. Perfectionism is the biggest challenge, especially as a founder.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Factual integrity, constructive communication, community collaboration, active citizenship, sustainable solutions. Personally, kindness - being there for people in your community, friends, family, and strangers.
