Sabrina Ippolito is a dynamic business leader and entrepreneur based in West Sacramento, California, currently serving as CEO of Ippolito’s LLC and owner of Ippolito’s Trattoria. With more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, she has built a reputation for driving business growth through a unique combination of accounting expertise and hands-on operational leadership. A graduate of Humphreys University with a degree in Accounting and Business/Management, Sabrina’s journey is marked by resilience—having completed her education while raising five children as a single mother and working full-time.

Her career began in accounting, where she supported franchise owners as a bookkeeper. However, her natural talent for leadership quickly expanded her role into developing procedures, improving policies, and training staff. Known as a “fixer” in the industry, Sabrina became a trusted expert in turning around underperforming restaurants and facilities. She eventually rose to Director of Operations, overseeing 16 restaurant locations across multiple states, where she led large teams, improved operational systems, and consistently elevated business performance in a highly competitive, male-dominated field.

Today, Sabrina channels her extensive experience into her own restaurant, Ippolito’s Trattoria, which she has successfully operated for over four years. Her vision centers on restoring a hospitality-first dining experience—creating a warm, welcoming environment that feels like home for every guest. Beyond her business, she remains deeply engaged in her community through leadership roles and professional organizations, while also hosting events and initiatives that empower women, foster connection, and support local growth.

Additionally, being a supportive and effective mentor has not only helped others grow, but has also strengthened my own leadership and perspective.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve received is to never be intimidated by others and to have the confidence to speak my mind. Equally important is staying curious—asking questions and seeking to understand, as that’s how meaningful learning and growth truly happen.

I would advise young women entering the industry to be attentive listeners and to lead by example in all that they do. Embrace your uniqueness and think creatively, as fresh perspectives drive innovation and growth. Remain open to learning from others, regardless of their experience, and approach each opportunity with curiosity. Most importantly, bring positivity, respect, and collaboration to your team—what you contribute in attitude and energy often comes back to you in meaningful ways.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest opportunities in my field right now is expanding outreach to more restaurants and businesses to better support their evolving hospitality needs. At the same time, a key challenge lies in effectively driving business growth while delivering strong expertise in accounting, operations, and management. Balancing these priorities requires a strategic approach, adaptability, and a deep understanding of the industry’s demands.

The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are openness and honesty, as they build trust and strong relationships.
