What do you attribute your success to?
My success - both personally and professionally - is really a reflection of the people I interact with every day. I’m fortunate to collaborate with an amazing team, including our Compliance team, HR partners, and many other associates, who bring expertise, perspective, and support to the work we do. Facing challenges together and staying resilient as a team is what makes progress possible.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
"Worry when there is something to worry about." I believe in keeping perspective and not making a mountain out of a molehill. Most challenges become manageable when people come together, communicate openly, and brainstorm solutions as a team.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this field is to embrace the service-oriented nature of the work. Our role is to support others by providing clarity on complex issues and helping organizations navigate risk. Success in this career requires agility, flexibility, and the ability to adapt when decisions or circumstances change. It also takes curiosity and drive - staying informed about legislative changes and industry developments is essential to doing the job well.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in our field is keeping up with the pace of change. Regulations, guidance, and industry expectations evolve quickly, so it’s essential to make time to continuously educate yourself, research, and stay informed. Balancing that ongoing learning with daily responsibilities can be challenging, but it’s also what makes the work dynamic and rewarding.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
One of my core values is "Seek to Understand." I believe in asking questions, sometimes like a curious two-year-old, so I can fully understand a situation before forming conclusions. My second is "Be a Good Human." I believe in treating people with kindness, assuming positive intent, and doing the right thing. When you lead with those values, it has a way of multiplying into trust, success, and a positive workplace culture.
