Her Interview
Ten minutes with Sage
01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
When receiving a compliment, say thank you. Especially in events and film, where you know everything that went wrong but others are enjoying it, just accept the praise without pointing out the issues.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Be persistent and don't listen to no. Don't let people waste your time. Apply the 80-20 law to be efficient with your time in everything, whether business or dating. If you want to pursue something like acting or filmmaking, you have to want it more than anything and have the passion and grit to see it through.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
After COVID, people are wanting to get back out into real-life experiences and in-person interactions, which is especially important for those who are single or solo.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Authenticity - that what you say is what you do. I don't want to hear nonsense or be told things that aren't true, whether in personal or business contexts.
