About Sai Tharuni
I have been in the clinical trials field for almost 6 years. Currently working as a clinical trial assistant manager at a site that recruits subjects for investigational drug products from sponsors like Eli Lilly, Pfizer, and Novartis. I manage quality issues, ensure protocols are followed, monitor patient safety and adverse events, and assist with monitoring visits from clinical research organizations. Previously, I served as a quality manager for a pharmaceutical manufacturing company producing OTC drugs for nearly 3 years, and worked as a clinical pharmacologist and junior doctor in India during the COVID wave. I am a doctor of pharmacy graduate and authored a book on cancer prevention with oncology surgeons.

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I received is from a family physician in India who told me that whatever I start, whether professional or extra career, I have good grasping skills and can start with super ease and achieve anything I deserve.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Any woman entering this field should work through the challenges they face and make themselves complete in whatever they want in life before stepping into other aspects or looking for someone to complete their life.
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me are discipline, punctuality, honesty, and transparency in whatever work I handle.
