About Sai
Sai Sahu serves as an HR intern at M-Phasis, based in New York, NY. In this role, she contributes to talent acquisition strategy, including the development of recruitment strategies for senior-level sales hiring. Sai earned her master's degree in organizational psychology from the University of Liverpool in the UK in 2025, following her undergraduate studies in psychology in India. She also holds a BPS psychometric certification, officially known as RQTU. Her professional focus lies in organizational psychology and human resources management. Sai decided to pursue psychology during her freshman year of high school and finds purpose in her work, viewing her role not as a burden but as an enjoyable endeavor that aligns with her interests. She values a healthy work-life balance, workplace growth, and the chance to contribute to new initiatives. Sai has navigated an unstable job market by persisting in her search, which ultimately led her to this position, and she advises others, particularly young women entering the field, to remain persistent and not become discouraged.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I enjoy my work and don't feel that my 9 to 5 is a burden. I decided to pursue psychology since freshman year in high school and really enjoy studying and working in it, so my work gives me purpose.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Not to get discouraged by the unstable job market and just keep going, which led to finding this enjoyable job.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Not to give up and keep going, and to not get discouraged by any problems that they face.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The job market is very unstable, making it hard to find a job. Also need to focus on upscaling and figuring out how to include AI in your work to reduce manual tasks.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
A healthy work-life balance is the top priority because without personal time I can't put in my best work. Also growth in the workplace and the opportunity to keep doing something new and contributing.
