Saja Wahdan

Saja Wahdan has been in education for over 10 years. She currently serves as a program mentor at Western Governors University, where she supports School of Business students from onboarding through degree completion. Her responsibilities include evaluating transcripts, setting program expectations, conducting regular check-ins via phone, email, and text, addressing roadblocks, and adding courses as students progress. In one year, 16 students in her program graduated under her mentorship. Previously, she worked as an enrollment counselor managing financial aid, registration, and student records while helping launch a new system at her school. Saja holds a Master's in Management and Leadership. Her passion for the role stems from her own experiences moving to the U.S. in 2009 and struggling as a new high school and college student without adequate support. She aims to remain in education and advance into management and leadership positions within the next five years to develop improved systems for serving students. Saja emphasizes maintaining her own mental health while supporting over 100 students to prevent burnout.
