What do you attribute your success to?
I credit my success to curiosity and passion for my work. The employee benefits space is constantly evolving, which keeps me engaged and motivated to stay informed.
Helping businesses and employers ultimately supports individual consumers, guiding them to the right insurance coverage. Keeping this impact in mind helps me stay focused and purpose-driven.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I ever received was to focus on my own goals rather than comparing myself to others. By concentrating on my path and how to achieve my objectives, I’ve been able to stay motivated and avoid getting distracted by comparisons.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to be proactive and look for ways to contribute beyond your job description. Volunteer for projects, support your team, and put yourself in the mix—even if it feels risky.
Early in my career, I learned that if you don’t work yourself out of your current role, you’ll never reach the next one. Taking initiative, embracing challenges, and creating your own opportunities will set you apart and help you grow.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
I see one of the biggest challenges in my field as young professionals holding themselves back. Many wait for perfection or for recognition from their boss before taking risks, which can keep them stuck in the same role and limit growth.
The opportunity lies in encouraging people to step out of their comfort zones, seek new projects, and create their own opportunities rather than waiting for them. Breaking the misconception that good work alone leads to advancement is key, especially for women navigating the business world.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity is foundational for me, but I also place great importance on working with people who genuinely care about others. Family and faith are central, and I strive to maintain a positive outlook while staying true to myself.
Faith, positivity, empathy, and kindness are the core values that guide both my professional and personal life.
