Her Story
About Salome
I am a technical writer, learning architect, and content strategist with over 20 years of experience helping people understand complex technologies with clarity and confidence. At the heart of my work is a deep love for the craft of content—transforming intricate systems, cloud platforms, and processes into clear, approachable, and meaningful experiences for diverse audiences.
Throughout my career, I have led large-scale, enterprise initiatives across cloud infrastructure, data platforms, and learning ecosystems, designing documentation, training, and user enablement solutions that are both technically sound and human-centered. I’ve had the privilege of building programs from the ground up, leading cross-functional global teams, and delivering content that meets the highest standards of quality, accessibility, and compliance.
What motivates me most is impact. Whether I’m creating user documentation, architecting learning journeys, mentoring writers, or improving content workflows, my goal is always the same: to reduce friction, build understanding, and empower people to succeed. I believe great content is an act of service—it removes barriers, builds confidence, and makes technology feel possible.
I bring a thoughtful, collaborative approach to everything I do, blending strategy with empathy and precision with warmth. I continue to learn, grow, and evolve—driven by the belief that when knowledge is shared clearly and intentionally, it has the power to transform individuals, teams, and organizations.

Ten minutes with Salome
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to a deep sense of curiosity and a mindset that believes challenges are meant to be figured out, not avoided. I’ve always been drawn to complex problems, and instead of being intimidated by them, I enjoy breaking them down, understanding how they work, and finding clear, practical solutions.
Equally important is my refusal to give up when things get hard. I approach obstacles with a “can-do” mindset—open to learning, adapting, and trying different paths until I find what works. Technology and environments constantly evolve, and my willingness to adapt to change has allowed me to grow with them rather than resist them.
Above all, my love for learning and problem-solving keeps me moving forward. Curiosity fuels my growth, perseverance sustains it, and a belief in possibility turns challenges into opportunities.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received is to never stop learning and never underestimate the value of clarity. Skills, tools, and technologies will change, but the ability to learn continuously, adapt quickly, and communicate clearly will always set you apart.
I was also encouraged early on to take ownership of my work and trust that consistency and integrity compound over time. Showing up curious, doing the work well, and staying open to growth has guided many of my career decisions—and it continues to serve me in every new challenge.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Be curious, be confident, and don’t wait until you feel “ready” to take up space. This industry needs your perspective, your questions, and your voice. Ask questions boldly, learn continuously, and don’t be intimidated by complexity—everything can be understood with time and effort.
Embrace challenges as opportunities to grow, and don’t be afraid to adapt as the industry evolves. Advocate for yourself, seek mentors, and remember that your ability to communicate clearly and think critically is just as powerful as technical expertise. Most importantly, believe that you belong here—because you do.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in technical writing and content strategy today is keeping pace with the rapid evolution of technology. Tools, platforms, and development practices change quickly, and communicators must continuously learn and adapt so our content stays accurate, relevant, and valuable to users. Balancing depth of information with clarity and usability—especially for diverse audiences with varying levels of expertise—is also a constantly evolving challenge.
At the same time, this environment brings tremendous opportunity. As organizations increasingly recognize the strategic value of content, there’s more room to influence user experience, product design, and organizational communication. Advances in AI-assisted writing, content automation, and structured authoring open new possibilities for scaling quality documentation and personalized learning experiences.
There’s also a growing emphasis on content as a service, where documentation isn’t just a task to complete, but a key part of how users learn, adopt, and succeed with technology. This shift positions content professionals as strategic partners in product and customer success—something I find both exciting and rewarding.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me are integrity, curiosity, perseverance, and empathy. In my work, integrity means doing things the right way—being thoughtful, honest, and accountable in how I communicate and deliver value. Curiosity keeps me learning and open, especially in an ever-changing industry, while perseverance helps me stay steady through challenges and complexity.
Empathy is central to both my professional and personal life. It shapes how I listen, collaborate, and communicate, and it reminds me that clarity and kindness go hand in hand. Whether I’m solving problems at work or supporting the people around me, these values guide my decisions and help me stay grounded, purposeful, and resilient.
