Samantha Barba

I currently work at Citi in data analytics and project management, a role I've held for over a year and a half. While I'm relatively new to the banking world, I bring over 10 years of project management experience to my position. My journey into this field began when I was working at a marketing agency with the data analytics team. I was drawn to banking because data analytics and AI are huge right now, and that's what most companies are pushing, so I wanted to tap into that field. In my current role, I focus on data analytics in the project management space, making sure we have the right metrics and handling all the reporting for that. I work with teams spread across the globe, including teams in India, New York, and Tampa, Florida, and we collaborate very well together across different time zones. I'm thankful that this particular role doesn't require travel, because I've been in previous roles where I had to travel for weeks at a time. I have a great team around me, and I'm actively involved in Citi's inclusive networks, participating in both the women's network and the Black Heritage Network. I'm also currently interviewing for a promotion within the organization.
