In addition to her corporate career, Samantha is the founder of Flaménoir Aroma, a boutique candle-making brand launched in 2023. She enjoys the creative process of crafting high-quality, handcrafted candles that tell a story through fragrance. Beyond her entrepreneurial endeavors, Samantha loves baking and finds joy in creating memorable experiences for family and friends through her culinary and creative pursuits.
Samantha is a dedicated mother of three, with two daughters and a son, and actively supports her children’s activities, including attending her son’s football and basketball games. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resources Management at Southern New Hampshire University, with an expected graduation in 2028. I attribute my success to the inspiration and support I receive from my children. They motivate me every day to work hard, stay focused, and lead by example. Balancing my professional responsibilities with family life has taught me resilience, time management, and the importance of setting priorities, all of which have been critical to achieving my goals and growing both personally and professionally.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is that success is never final, and failure is never fatal. This mindset reminds me to stay humble in my achievements and resilient in the face of setbacks. It encourages continuous learning, adaptability, and perseverance, knowing that each experience whether a triumph or a challenge is an opportunity for growth and progress in my career.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to go for it and have faith in yourself. Trust your abilities, stay confident, and don’t be afraid to take risks or pursue opportunities that challenge you. Believing in yourself, even when faced with uncertainty, is key to growing, succeeding, and making a meaningful impact in your career.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field right now is filling certain roles that are in high demand or require specialized skills. These hard-to-fill positions present both a challenge and an opportunity: the challenge is finding the right candidates who meet the technical and cultural fit, while the opportunity lies in building strong recruitment strategies, expanding talent pipelines, and fostering relationships that attract top talent. Successfully navigating these challenges helps organizations grow and positions recruiters as strategic partners in workforce development.
