Samantha Diaz
Samantha Diaz is an automotive marketing professional with nearly a decade of experience helping dealerships grow their visibility, strengthen customer relationships, and drive results. She entered the industry by chance through a referral, but quickly discovered a genuine passion for the work. With a background in psychology and a minor in social work from Loyola University Chicago, Samantha brings a people-centered approach to her role, allowing her to better understand consumer behavior, client needs, and the communities her clients serve.
Throughout her career, Samantha has built a well-rounded skill set that includes automotive consulting, account management, sales, and retention strategy. Currently working with a marketing agency, she focuses on helping dealerships maximize retention opportunities while maintaining and growing a strong book of business. Her role involves traveling to meet with clients, collaborating with sales teams, and identifying new opportunities for growth. Known for her relationship-driven approach, Samantha partners closely with dealerships to ensure they are effectively marketing their inventory and connecting with in-market consumers.
What truly drives Samantha’s passion for the industry is the meaningful impact dealerships have on their local communities. Early in her career, she recognized the extent to which dealerships give back—supporting youth programs, hosting food and donation drives, and providing essential resources to those in need. That realization solidified her purpose, knowing her work contributes, even in a small way, to something much larger. Actively involved in organizations like Engage Women in Auto and previously NextGen, Samantha continues to grow as a leader while remaining committed to making a positive difference in both her industry and the communities it serves.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to a genuine passion for the automotive industry and the impact it has on local communities. Early in my career, I realized that dealerships do so much more than sell vehicles—they actively give back through food drives, sponsorships, and community support initiatives. That perspective gave my work a deeper sense of purpose. I also credit the incredible team I’ve had the opportunity to work with, as their support, collaboration, and shared commitment to excellence have played a significant role in my growth.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best advice I’ve received is to lead with compassion and clarity. Approaching situations with empathy while also communicating clearly allows you to build stronger relationships and achieve better results. It creates trust, fosters collaboration, and helps navigate challenges more effectively.
I also believe in staying open to learning new things. Being adaptable and willing to grow has been essential in my career, especially in an industry that is constantly evolving. That mindset has allowed me to continue developing both professionally and personally.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would encourage young women to support one another authentically and be intentional about their growth. Building genuine relationships and uplifting others creates a stronger, more collaborative environment where everyone can succeed.
It’s also important to develop strong self-awareness—understanding your strengths, areas for growth, and how you show up in different situations. That level of awareness allows you to grow with purpose, make confident decisions, and navigate your career with clarity and intention.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest opportunities in my field right now is the ability to connect with individuals and businesses in meaningful ways and help guide them toward sustainable growth. There is a growing need for strategic support, and being able to provide insights that truly make a difference is incredibly rewarding.
At the same time, the challenge lies in ensuring those connections are thoughtful, relevant, and aligned with each business’s unique goals. It requires a strong understanding of both the market and the client, as well as the ability to adapt strategies that drive success in the right direction.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me are centered around community, service, and making a meaningful impact. I strongly believe in giving back and supporting the communities we serve, which is something I see reflected every day in the dealerships I work with. Whether it’s through charitable initiatives or simply helping businesses succeed, I view my role as contributing in a small but meaningful way to something much larger. That sense of purpose drives both my professional work and my personal outlook.
