Samantha Dulcio, LPN, is a dedicated pediatric case manager based in Miami Gardens, Florida, with over eight years of experience in healthcare. Her career began in customer service, but a passion for helping others led her to transition into the medical field. Starting as a patient care technician while attending nursing school, Samantha quickly developed a strong foundation in patient care that propelled her into nursing roles across clinics and nursing homes before moving into case management.
Currently with Coastal Care Services, Inc., Samantha works primarily with the pediatric population, coordinating comprehensive care for children with complex medical needs. She assists families of newborns requiring G-tubes, tracheostomies, or ventilators, connecting them with home care services and ensuring all necessary resources are in place. Samantha is deeply committed to her work, often putting herself in the parents' perspective to provide compassionate and thorough support. Her role allows her to make a tangible difference in the lives of children and their families every day.
Balancing her career with motherhood, Samantha is a proud mother of six children. Despite the challenges of managing both family and a demanding healthcare role, she thrives in her position and continues to grow professionally. Looking forward, she plans to complete her prerequisites and pursue her goal of becoming a nurse practitioner, further expanding her ability to provide high-quality, patient-centered care.

I attribute my success to staying persistent and being able to adapt to anything.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I've ever received was to go for what you want and never give up. No matter how hard it gets, just push through it. In the end, it'll all be worth it. And it's very true. I've learned that if you keep pushing, you'll get through whatever obstacles come your way.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
The best advice I could give to women entering my industry is to always believe in yourself. You are your biggest fan and no one can hype you up better than you! Remember we can do anything we put our minds to and preserver always.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge I've had to face recently is that I just had a baby, so that has been a big adjustment for me, working from home and juggling mom life again. I am a mom of 6 beautiful children 3 of my own and 3 are my bonus kids. That adjustment of handling work and being a mom has been a little challenging, but I have been able to push through and keep going, and I have a very supportive partner. I have no worries or complaints. As far as opportunities right now, I don't have any opportunities coming my way at the moment. I'm just living in the moment of enjoying motherhood.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
In my work, what's most important to me is making sure my patients are good, I work in the pediatric field so it’s always a little challenging because it also involves the parents. I like to make sure the families are good and I won’t stop until I know I’ve made a difference even if it’s a small one. In my personal life, the most important thing I value is my family, they are everything to me.
