What do you attribute your success to?
I think my ability to connect with business owners is what has allowed me to be successful. Accounting is a field where you really have to feel trust with your accountant, so I think I can establish really good relationships with clients. That allows me to build more clients and continue to grow and everything.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
I would say always hire people smarter than yourself. I also think going with your gut and putting what you feel like first, and trusting your instincts and what you need, has been important advice I've received.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I think that bravery is not acting without fear, but acting through fear. That's the advice I would give to young women entering this field.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
I think maintaining the balance between the human element and the need to keep up with AI and all of that is one of the biggest challenges in my field right now.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Kindness is most important to me. I hate saying things like honesty and stuff because I feel like that should just be a given, but maybe it's not a given for everyone. I also value being a sense of calm and comfort to those around me.
