Ten minutes with Samarah
01What do you attribute your success to?
Hard work and staying true to myself while following the path of integrity. I remind myself that choices are always up to us and that it's all about me in terms of taking responsibility for my path.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
An early spiritual teacher said, 'I have good news and bad news for you. The good news is it's all about you, and the bad news is it's all about you.' This reminds me that choices are always up to us.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
It's very important to establish a firm foundation through family, faith, or connections to nature to be centered. Find that connection and trust in themselves rather than relying too much on what other people are telling them to do. Follow your own star.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
There's so much chaotic information being sent out over the internet, making people gun-shy and not trusting.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Being real, authentic, honest.
