About Samirah
Samirah Scantling is a licensed real estate broker, residential property manager, and entrepreneur with more than nine years of experience helping property owners maximize the value of their real estate investments. As the founder of Scantling Dynasty Realty Group, she is building a residential property management and real estate brokerage dedicated to serving communities throughout Essex County, New Jersey. Guided by honesty, integrity, strategy, and compassion, Samirah works closely with landlords and property owners to protect their investments, improve property conditions, and create lasting value while building a business that reflects her vision of creating a family legacy. Throughout her career, Samirah has developed extensive expertise in residential property management, brokerage services, landlord-tenant relations, leasing, operations, and community engagement. Before launching her own firm, she managed hundreds of residential units, maintained high occupancy rates, oversaw multimillion-dollar rental portfolios, coordinated vendor relationships, and ensured compliance with housing regulations. In addition to her real estate career, she serves as an Administrative Assistant at Essex County College, where she supports student affairs, advises student organizations, and contributes to campus initiatives that promote student success and leadership. Committed to lifelong learning and service, Samirah earned an Associate of Science in Business Administration and is pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business Leadership and Management with a minor in Public and Nonprofit Administration at Rutgers Business School. She is a Certified Residential Property Manager, a licensed New Jersey Real Estate Broker, and an active member of the North Central New Jersey Board of Realtors and the Beta Gamma Sigma International Business Honor Society. Beyond her professional achievements, Samirah mentors youth through Big Brothers Big Sisters and was a 2024 recipient of the Althea Gibson Leadership Award. She is passionate about expanding affordable housing opportunities, advocating for young people, and developing future community programs focused on homelessness prevention. Her mission is to leave a lasting legacy rooted in faith, respect, trust, and service.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to determination and a strong commitment to changing my family's future. My goal is to build a lasting business that creates opportunities and leaves a meaningful legacy for generations to come.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received was: Don’t settle for what others say you can achieve. Pursue what you believe in, and never limit your potential. That mindset has given me the confidence to dream bigger, embrace challenges, and believe that the sky is truly the limit.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to never give up on your dreams. Set clear goals, pursue them with determination, and stay committed even when the journey becomes challenging. Trust the process, keep moving forward, and have faith in yourself and your purpose.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field is the rising Rental rates and not enough affordable housing. It is almost impossible for single renters to obtain as little as an apartment and that is something that I would like to help change.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that matter most to me in both my work and personal life are honesty, integrity, loyalty, respect, trust, and faith in God. These principles guide my decisions, shape my relationships, and serve as the foundation for how I lead, serve others, and live each day.
