Her Story
About Sana
I started out at a young age after my dad asked me to record a video for his company on cloud computing material targeted for children. That sparked my interest in cybersecurity which I developed further. Professionally, I create content for my YouTube channel on topics like recent cybersecurity news from IT Brew, writing scripts, iterating, practicing, filming, and editing videos over several days. I am currently in high school in the Bay Area while participating in an MIT summer program.

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I've received is to always prioritize what you want and that my highest competition should just be myself. A mentor told me to look at how to better myself rather than comparing to others.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
You are exactly where you're meant to be. Stick to this because you can become something if you commit. As a young girl searching YouTube for cybersecurity topics, I didn't see myself represented, so this advice would have helped.
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
In my work, my foremost value is accessibility because information is out there but people may not be exposed to it. In my personal life, leadership is key - identifying a problem and creating my own solution, whether in security or simple programs.
