Her Story
About Sandra
I've been in the restaurant industry for over 10 years since 2015, working my way up while focusing extensively on marketing across local and national roles. At CAVA I oversee integrated marketing efforts, paid media, brand strategy, and marketing operations, leading a team of 10 to 11 people. I started in agency work but moved to the brand side because I'm a foodie with a family history of restaurant ownership, which made the industry a natural fit for my passion.

Ten minutes with Sandra
01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Know you belong at the table and you have a seat at the table. My mentors pushed me to go after things that I thought were maybe too big or beyond what I thought I could do.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Dedicate time to looking inward and understanding what you want. Be very intentional from a young age knowing exactly what you wanted and what you didn't for your life and stay laser focused on that. The first thing you must do is decide what you really want then make up your mind completely and go after your goal with all your might.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The restaurant industry is one of the fastest growing industries and continues to grow with lots of brands killing it. There aren't any challenges for women if they have the experience knowledge and willingness. The only challenge would be the person themselves getting in their own way.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Being a servant leader who cares about my team first and foremost as people is really important to me. I care about them growing and developing and making them better than I am. Being really genuine authentic and caring paired with being strategic smart and unwavering creates a great balance.
