About Sandra
Sandra Jackson serves as an HR Generalist 3 with approximately 20 years of experience in the human resources field. She works in the corporate office of a managed care service company that provides health services administration for ophthalmology practices, where she manages onboarding, workers' compensation, unemployment claims, benefits, payroll, and specialty certification services for employees. Jackson earned her degree in business administration with an emphasis in marketing and management from Valdosta State University in 1993. She also holds a life and health insurance license, which she uses to advise individuals on obtaining coverage outside of employer plans and on retirement planning. Her professional focus includes supporting HR generalists, program managers, business partners, and directors within her department.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I guess the advice that I would give would be to take the time to discover what it is that you enjoy doing in life, and think about that as far as what type of career field that you want to get involved in. And focus on what your purpose is. And try to surround yourself with people and network with people that can help you move forward in your career.
