Her Interview

Ten minutes with Sandra

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to determination, hard work, and the desire to show my children that it is never too late to pursue your dreams. Becoming a mother at a young age created challenges that affected my path, but I never allowed those obstacles to make me give up on my goals. Today, I work every day to build successful businesses and become the best version of myself, both personally and professionally. My children continue to be my greatest motivation, inspiring me to persevere, lead by example, and demonstrate that with dedication and consistency, anything is possible.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is, “You get a lot further with honey than you do with vinegar.” I’ve learned that treating people with kindness, respect, and professionalism creates stronger relationships and opens more doors than approaching situations with negativity or confrontation.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

The advice I would give to young women entering my industry is to go for it and never give up on your dreams, regardless of your age or circumstances. Age is simply a number, and success comes from consistently showing up, putting in the work, and staying committed to your goals. Even the smallest steps make a difference, and over time, those efforts can lead to meaningful and lasting results.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that are most important to me, both professionally and personally, are integrity, strong morals, and respect. I was raised with traditional, old-school values, and those principles continue to guide how I conduct myself and treat others. I believe in showing respect to everyone, especially women, and I have worked to instill those same values in my children. Treating people with kindness, respect, and integrity is something I believe should always remain at the foundation of both personal and professional relationships.
