About Sandra
Sandra Nnaji is the founder of Generation DMV, a federally recognized 501(c) nonprofit organization dedicated to men's mental health and wellness. Established five years ago after observing the mental health challenges faced by friends during the COVID-19 pandemic, the organization partners with therapists and wellness groups to host monthly check-ins, financial wellness workshops, and an annual conference in May. In addition to her nonprofit work, Nnaji is a media strategist who operates a PR agency, currently serving clients such as a politician, an influencer, and a basketball player. She is a licensed insurance broker for the state of Maryland. Nnaji holds a certification in women's entrepreneurship from Cornell University, obtained through a Bank of America scholarship, and is a graduate of Strayer University where she studied computer networking. Her achievements include the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award in 2024, three Communications Awards as a PR professional, recognitions from Washington D.C., Montgomery County Maryland, and Prince George's County Maryland, as well as media features on NBC4, Fox 5, and ABC7. She previously mentored PR interns and remains active in mentoring aspiring professionals in marketing and communications.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Go for it, but make sure you do your research. Never doubt yourself. At least you can tell yourself, I tried. It's better to try it and not to try at all.
