What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to a strong commitment to education and continuous growth. Earning a masters degrees while working full time taught me discipline, resilience, and the value of lifelong learning. I’m still investing in my development today, exploring project management pathways and working toward my PMP certification. Staying open to new skills and opportunities has been key to both my professional progress and personal fulfillment.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received came through mentorship. Early in my career, two managers encouraged me to look beyond immediate tasks and think about the long-term possibilities. Their guidance helped me recognize my potential and gave me the confidence to pursue opportunities I might not have considered on my own.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the industry is to stay open and keep pushing toward the things you’re passionate about. Find what excites you, then explore ways to turn that passion into a career. Invest in your education—whether that’s a degree, certificate, or specialized training—and always look beyond what you think is possible today. Growth comes from pursuing opportunities and keeping your vision forward-focused.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that guide me are integrity, continuous learning, and “people helping people,” which is at the heart of the credit union industry. I’m passionate about giving back through organizations like Central Phoenix Women, Junior Achievement, and Make-A-Wish, and these experiences remind me that leadership extends beyond job titles. Staying committed to growth and helping others is central to both my work and personal life.
