Sandy Quatsoe is a seasoned financial services executive and Vice President, Financial Center Leader at BOK Financial, with 45 years of experience in consumer retail and branch banking. Beginning her career in 1980 as a high school senior in the Steno pool on the executive floor, Sandy worked her way from teller to banking center manager—a role she has held for nearly three decades. Over the first 20 years, her focus was operational excellence, after which she transitioned to coaching and mentoring, helping her teams develop expertise in sales and build deep, lasting client relationships. Throughout her career, she has worked at four financial institutions, navigating industry changes due to FDIC closures and acquisitions, and has been with BOK Financial for the past 13 years.

She is recognized for her ability to inspire high-performing teams, foster client trust, and implement strategies that drive both business growth and operational efficiency. Her leadership philosophy emphasizes ethical practices, empathy, and inclusivity, cultivating an environment where both clients and employees feel valued and supported. Sandy is a Certified Small Business lender and holds an Associate of Arts degree in Finance from Durham Business College.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Sandy is committed to leaving a lasting legacy defined by integrity, compassion, and service. She believes that the true measure of a banker is not the name on the building, but the confidence clients place in them—earned by listening, being available, and genuinely caring. Sandy has built her career on these principles, championing ethical and client-centered banking while fostering diverse and inclusive workplaces. In her personal life, she enjoys painting and home decorating, expressing her creativity and bringing warmth and beauty into her surroundings.

Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to compassion for other people, listening, and just being available to people so they feel heard. I make myself available and listen so people feel heard - I know it sounds dorky, but that is my truth. I'm a very loyal person, and it's kind of like, you treat me good and I'll treat you better. I've carried that my whole life, and I'm very blessed with the friendships I've made over the years. I have friends from my very first bank in 1980 who came to my husband's funeral - people I haven't seen in 20 years came to support me. My very first manager, who is now 87, has called me every year on my birthday since I left that bank in 1994, and I do the same for him in July. That's the kind of relationships I build, and I think that's what has made me successful.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me are being ethical, being a good listener, being empathetic, and being diverse and inclusive. That's what makes a good banker and makes our industry trusting. I want to leave knowing that my team learned how to be better at these things. Sales are sales - it doesn't matter whose name's on the building. It's what you bring to the table and how much confidence your clients have in you. When they trust you, you can do anything you want because they know you're behind it. I'm also a very loyal person - you treat me good and I'll treat you better. That's something I've carried my whole life, and I'm very blessed with the friendships I've made over the years because of it.
