Her Interview

Ten minutes with Sandy

01What do you attribute your success to?

I would say just that. Showing up and following up. That's my motto. Show up and follow up.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

It's a very rewarding space where you're constantly keeping up with what's happening in the cultural zeitgeist, so you're very connected that way. It's continuous learning, and it's rewarding financially. The industry attracts high-caliber people from all different walks of life. Join as many clubs, do as much networking. It all comes down to networking because it's a very personal business where you have to get to know people in order to do business.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The industry is becoming more tech-focused whereas before it was more emotional intelligence. That's been more of a challenge for me. Opportunities with AI, helping more with data.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Being an inspiration to other people. Showing up for people, seeing people, and staying connected. That's inside work and outside of work.
