Her Interview
Ten minutes with Sandy
01What do you attribute your success to?
I'm a first generation and the oldest of my family. I'm the first woman to actually have a career, have more freedom, more independence. Paying it forward to my lineage, my culture, and my parents for all the sacrifices they've made. Showing that you can have nothing and work hard and achieve lots of things through determination, showing up even on harder days.
02What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Nobody should ever feel alone in any situation. Knowing I'm not alone and there are other people going through similar situations. Showing that this person can do it under these circumstances, so I can do that as well. Never look at a challenge as something bad; it's what it taught me and how I can apply it for the future.
