About Sandy
Sandy Castillo is an office management, financial services, and client service professional with more than 20 years of experience in finance and wealth management. She currently serves as Office Manager at Edward Jones in Huntington Beach, California, a role she has held for over a decade. In that time, she helped elevate her office from level 3 to level 7 within six months and ultimately achieved level 10, Tier 4 status, earning recognition as a top leading office in Southern California by Forbes. Her background includes 15 years of personal banking experience at Wells Fargo prior to joining Edward Jones, where she gained expertise in computer systems, terminology, and client relationship management. She holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of California, Irvine, earned in June 2005, after attending Saddleback College, and she acquired her LVN license while in high school. Sandy attributes her success to perseverance, family motivation, and a commitment to providing human-centered service that builds trust with clients.

01What do you attribute your success to?
My motivation to be better for myself and my family. I went through a hard divorce and turned that around by understanding I am worthy. My why is my family and showing my daughters that women can handle anything through perseverance and believing in yourself. I want my legacy to be making a difference in the world by affecting people positively rather than infecting them with negativity.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Don't let your emotions cloud logic. I've learned that a long time ago and it applies to every aspect of life including finance and health. Emotion can cause us to make decisions or take roads we weren't meant to take.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Lean on people you wouldn't think would be there to help you. Don't be afraid to reach out for guidance or a quick 15-minute conversation. Don't be afraid of constructive criticism. If someone says not right now but later, that's okay too.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge is the uncontrollable market. Coach clients to remove emotion, stay the course, and understand there are ebbs and flows but you will be okay. The opportunity is helping more people understand finance and helping others become financial advisors or office managers.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Loyalty, love, honesty, transparency, respect. The basics are very rare to find but essential. As adults we all have to work on ourselves to be better and admit when we are wrong.
