She supports the Sheldrick Wildlife Foundation and Asher House, and attributes her success to living and breathing travel with an honest, no-nonsense approach that promotes personal transformation and cultural understanding.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Sandy
01What do you attribute your success to?
I live and breathe travel, and believe nothing transforms a human more than travel. Nothing broadens the mind more than travel. My success comes from taking people to live like a local rather than as a tourist, with an authentic, honest, no bullshit approach.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
To be consistent. Anything is possible if you just put your mind to it and go into action.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Pick a target audience and pick a niche. Hone it in because there's so much to learn. Really dial into the region that you personally love the most and become the expert on that, then pick a target audience.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
People are in fear about world events and hold themselves back from traveling. Prices have skyrocketed so people don't have funds for travel as cost of living has increased.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Authenticity is the biggest value. Also alignment, intentionality, confidence, empowerment, and perspective. Especially important now with AI making individuality seem lost.
