What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the construction industry is to never accept limitations—whether they come from others or from within. Seek out mentors, including male allies, who can help you navigate the industry and support your growth. Stay focused on your goals, pursue every opportunity for advancement, and remember that your skills and determination are powerful tools for breaking barriers and paving the way for future generations.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in the construction industry continues to be navigating a male-dominated environment, where women often have to work harder to prove their expertise and earn recognition. However, this challenge also presents a tremendous opportunity. Women bring unique strengths to the field—strong communication, collaboration, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills—that drive innovation and improve team dynamics. As the industry continues to evolve, embracing diversity and creating space for more women in leadership roles will only make construction stronger and more successful.
