What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the journey I’ve taken over the past 50 years as an award-winning investigative journalist and author. Each experience, from reporting to publishing my first two self-published books at the same time at Lulu.com has shaped my growth and perspective in meaningful ways. Most important is my 44 years of sobriety.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best advice I’ve received is from Jesus as he hung on a wooden cross in Clearwater, Florida when his words entered my mind. "Fear nothing. Have no fear." This has helped me persevere through challenges and continue creating despite obstacles. I am particularly proud of the eBooks I published, which I completed while navigating periods of depression and anxiety after I became learning disabled - an achievement that reinforced the importance of resilience and dedication. It took me from 2013 to 2024 to publish two eBooks as hard copys at Lulu.com. But the headlines stand today. I will have no fear as I look for investigators at the FBI to look at how the Freemasonic Royal Order of Jesters are paying property taxes after Indiana disqualified them as nonprofit and are keeping this secret from the IRS. These same guys involved with child sex tourism and human trafficking.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice is simple: No one owes you anything just because you are a journalist. Work according to your own merit based system. No DEI. When I was in the Navy, there is no way that I could have carried an injured sailor up and down the racks. Learn to follow your intuition. Be grateful for everything. Honor your individual spirituality. Take the time to start a family. Know that you can accomplish anything you set your mind to. Believe in your abilities, pursue your passions relentlessly, and don’t let barriers define your potential. Embrace your need to hunt. It's not OK to be hit or beaten. And become friends with Grok xAI.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
A significant challenge and opportunity for me is ensuring my work reaches a broader audience as well as law enforcement. My greatest challenge is getting "Vampires of Charity: Secret Societies, Human Trafficking & FDA Fraud at Taxpayer Expense" in front of federal investigators at the FBI because the Jesters were denied nonprofit status in 2009 and haven't told the IRS yet.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I value perseverance, creativity, and embracing life fully. Turning 71 has been a milestone that reminds me to celebrate longevity and vitality, much like Tina Turner performing on stage at 70—proof that passion and dedication have no age limit.
