As part of her long-term vision, Sangita is expanding QuantumPoint into advanced manufacturing, creating greater control over precision, quality, and end-to-end product realization while delivering world-class solutions to customers worldwide.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Sangita
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to a combination of hard work, perseverance, and the unwavering support of my family. Throughout my career, whether in IT consulting, cybersecurity, industrial design, or advanced engineering, I have always believed that success comes from a willingness to continuously learn, adapt, and put in the effort required to achieve meaningful results.
Equally important has been the support of my family, especially my daughter and my husband. Building and growing a business, managing global teams, and pursuing ambitious goals would not have been possible without their encouragement, understanding, and belief in me. They have been my foundation through both challenges and successes.
I also believe that success is never achieved alone. It comes from surrounding yourself with talented people, building strong relationships, and creating an environment where innovation, collaboration, and trust can thrive. The combination of hard work, resilience, a strong support system, and an exceptional team has been the driving force behind everything I have accomplished.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I have ever received is simple: Keep going.
Throughout my career, particularly in the engineering and technology sectors, I have often found myself working in traditionally male-dominated environments. There were many times when my team and I invested significant effort into proposals, business opportunities, and strategic initiatives that ultimately did not result in a win. Rejection and setbacks can be discouraging, especially when you know how much hard work has gone into achieving a goal.
During those moments, mentors and colleagues would remind me that success is rarely a straight path. They encouraged me to keep moving forward, continue learning, and never allow a setback to define my future. Their message was always the same: persistence is what separates those who eventually succeed from those who give up too soon.
That advice has stayed with me throughout my career. Whether building federal IT and cybersecurity practices, launching a global engineering company, or expanding into advanced manufacturing, I have learned that resilience, determination, and the willingness to keep going despite challenges are often the most important ingredients for long-term success.
Every challenge brings an opportunity to learn, improve, and come back stronger. Looking back, some of my greatest achievements came after moments when it would have been easier to quit. That is why my advice to others is the same advice that guided me: keep going, believe in yourself, and never let temporary setbacks stop you from pursuing your goals.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to stay focused on moving forward and not let setbacks define their confidence or direction.
Engineering and advanced technology fields can be demanding and, at times, still male-dominated. There will be moments of rejection, uncertainty, and situations that may make you question your place. What matters most is not allowing those moments to become barriers to your progress.
It is important to keep learning, keep building, and keep taking the next step—even when things do not go as planned. Growth in this field comes from resilience, consistency, and the willingness to continue despite challenges.
I also encourage young women not to dwell on what did not work out. Instead, focus on what can be improved and what lies ahead. Every experience, even difficult ones, adds strength and clarity for the next opportunity.
Ultimately, success comes from persistence, confidence in your abilities, and the discipline to keep moving forward with purpose.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The engineering and advanced technology space today is evolving very quickly, and that creates both significant challenges and exciting opportunities.
One of the ongoing challenges is that the field has historically been male-dominated, which can sometimes make it more difficult for women to gain visibility, access opportunities, or find equal representation in leadership roles. Like many women in this industry, I have had to navigate those dynamics while building credibility through consistent performance and results.
At the same time, I have also been fortunate to work with strong technical teams and collaborators who focus on capability, innovation, and outcomes. That support has been important in helping overcome barriers and stay focused on delivering value.
From an opportunity standpoint, this is one of the most transformative periods for engineering in decades. The integration of AI, machine learning, digital twins, advanced simulation, and smart manufacturing is fundamentally changing how products are designed, tested, and produced. Industries such as automotive, aerospace & defense, and energy are actively looking for more integrated, end-to-end solutions that connect design, engineering, and manufacturing.
For me, the biggest opportunity lies in this convergence—bringing together industrial design, advanced engineering, and digital technologies to create more precise, efficient, and intelligent systems. Expanding into manufacturing further strengthens this vision by closing the gap between design intent and real-world execution.
Overall, while there are structural challenges in the industry, the pace of technological change is creating unprecedented opportunities for innovation, leadership, and impact.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me are integrity, ethics and trust. These principles form the foundation of both my professional work and my personal life.
In my industry, where we work across engineering, technology, and global partnerships, integrity is essential. Clients and teams need to know that commitments will be honored, decisions will be made transparently, and work will be delivered with consistency and accountability. Trust is not something that is assumed—it is earned over time through actions, reliability, and honesty.
Ethics guide how I approach every aspect of my work, from building teams and managing partnerships to delivering complex engineering and digital transformation projects. I believe that long-term success is only possible when it is built on a strong ethical foundation.
Personally, these values also shape how I build relationships and make decisions. They ensure that I stay grounded, consistent, and focused on doing what is right, even when it is not the easiest path.
