I'm currently a product lead at eBay, where I've been working in e-commerce for about 3 and a half years. I work on the search and ads product at eBay. When you go to eBay and search for something, like an iPhone 16 Pro, a list of results come up on the search page - a bunch of them are ads, and a bunch of them are non-ads. As a product manager, I am responsible for everything that shows up as part of the ads results on the search page in terms of the ranking, the relevance, how relevant are the results to you, what's the most trustworthy results on the top, and whether you'll actually make a conversion out of it as a buyer. I'm responsible for the whole experience of ads on the search page at eBay. I work on a lot of ad quality-related stuff and focus on the monetization of ads for eBay's search page. I work with a fairly large team of about 8 applied researchers, and we are responsible for all the machine learning models that relate to the ranking, relevance, and retrieval of the ads on the search page. I completed my Master's in software engineering at Carnegie Mellon, started my career working at Oracle, and then moved into eBay.
