Her Story

About Sara

I own an experiential travel company that focuses on curated group trips that are actually designed for women who are coaches or facilitators to plug their content into to empower those people to more readily share their gifts with the world. Most people who have some sort of impactful coaching skill set don't have event or travel experience, which is really the bulk of the skill set required to create these things. I have a background in technology and events, and it was kind of a natural segue. I started creating wellness events for women back in 2020 when COVID first started and everyone was trying to figure out how to maintain human connection. I recognized that there are all these different worlds of women with different skill sets that really kind of need each other, and it's hard to find your people. I started thinking about what's the happy medium between technology and human connection, and it just honestly kind of naturally evolved. I have a deep connection with Costa Rica and other areas in Central America, and I've seen firsthand how beneficial it is for your nervous system to just step out of your existing day-to-day environment and really allow yourself to be in nature and be in a different type of environment where you gain a new insight and awareness around things in life. My work is really about creating a platform that empowers women to have easier access to these types of experiences. A typical day involves a lot of relationship building, high-level strategy, and overall guidance and experience design. I work with really high-level executive leadership coaches, and getting people to trust you to design an experience that's holding their offering is a really interesting process. It's a lot of contract negotiation, strategic partnerships, venue coordination, transportation, excursions, and communications management.

Ten minutes with Sara

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to staying grounded in the vision, but also realizing that things will shift, and what you set out to create will evolve over time. As long as you stay grounded in the vision, being okay with the fact that it's going to shift and it's going to evolve, and evolving with it as a person and as a business owner. I actually saw something the other day that said entrepreneurship is the most spiritual thing that you can do, because it will face yourself, and it's really true. It's just being willing to adapt, and know that not everything is going to work out in your favor, and that's okay. People running billion-dollar businesses have made mistakes and have had things fall apart. The level of resilience that you need to have is really important, and keeping yourself grounded and healthy, and able to hold all of the things that come your way.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

I know it sounds so cliche, but believe in yourself. When you look at the world of people operating businesses, be clear on how you want to have impact in the world, and design your business around impact. That was really what drove me to try to branch out and start my own business - I felt like I was just selling a product that was making someone else money, and I didn't feel any sort of emotional connection to it. Not everyone is the same - there are some people who are creators, there are people here to be contributors, and I just really knew for sure that I was meant to be a creator. I think anyone who gave me advice on clarity around what your impact is, like, be clear on how you want to impact, and create everything around that.
