Her Interview
Ten minutes with Sara
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success mostly to my father. He was in sales all his life and taught me that my word is my word and I have to stick to that integrity because if you don't have that integrity you have nothing. That has really stuck with me and helps me discern who has integrity. I also push forward and keep moving forward and don't step back.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
My father told me on my first day selling retail that no matter what a boss or employee tells you, if you tell a customer something that is your word and you have got to stick to that integrity because if you don't have that integrity you have nothing.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don't stop learning. Keep learning. If you see something that you don't know, stop and find out what it is, how does it work, what do I need to know about this. And cheer other women on.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity, accountability, trustfulness. My word is my word and I stick to that. I don't have to know everything but I need to know where to get the answer and present it honestly.
