Her Interview

Ten minutes with Sara

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to the mentors and opportunities that have shaped my journey. Autumn Cats played a significant role by opening doors for me to photograph for the Women’s Speakers Collective, allowing me to grow both creatively and professionally. I also credit my diverse background and unconventional path—including growing up in Italy, experiencing different cultures, and earning my degree in communication with minors in women’s studies and literature—for giving me a unique perspective and a deeper appreciation for storytelling.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to prioritize taking care of themselves first. Learning to regulate your nervous system and doing the inner work necessary to stay grounded will allow you to show up with confidence, creativity, and clarity. When you are healthy and balanced, you can create more meaningful experiences for your clients and build a sustainable career.

03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that are most important to me are service, mentorship, and using my skills to make a positive impact. Throughout my life, I have enjoyed leading and supporting others through photography, church, sports, and creative communities. I am also passionate about giving back through my volunteer work with Generate Hope, where I use photography to help support an organization providing housing and trauma recovery for trafficked women.
