About Sara
Sara Patton is the Director of Engagement at a nonprofit enterprise based in San Antonio, Texas. In this role, which she has held for four years, she leads community-facing efforts to connect individuals with disabilities or special needs to healthcare providers, community-based resources, and services that enhance quality of life, such as access to food, housing, and clothing. Patton has worked in the nonprofit industry for about 10 years, beginning in 2014 with an unpaid internship in adaptive and therapeutic recreation in Breckenridge, Colorado, where she gained hands-on experience in outdoor activities like adaptive whitewater rafting and rock climbing. She progressed into volunteer program management and community outreach before returning to Texas. Patton holds a degree in public relations from Texas State University and a Values-Based Leadership certification from the nine-month Holt Leadership Program. She serves on the City of San Antonio Mayor's Fitness Council and is a member of the San Antonio Volunteer Administrator Group, in addition to volunteering within Morgan's sports program.
