Sara Smeal is a Senior Living Advisor with Oasis Senior Advisors, where she helps seniors and their families navigate the often-challenging process of finding the right living community. With eight years of experience in senior living, including several years with Brookdale Senior Living specializing in memory care, Sara provides guidance on independent living, assisted living, and memory care options while ensuring each individual’s unique needs and preferences are prioritized.
Sara’s passion for senior care is rooted in her desire to support people and make a meaningful difference in their lives. She holds an associate degree in economics and has built her career through roles in senior living, real estate, and sales, developing strong skills in relationship-building, communication, and client advocacy. Her background in memory care has also inspired her continued support of the Alzheimer’s Association and her commitment to helping families navigate important decisions with compassion and understanding.
As a military wife and mother of two young children, Sara values the flexibility of her remote role, which allows her to serve families while maintaining balance in her personal life. She believes integrity, family, and putting clients’ well-being first are the foundations of her work. My advice to young women entering this industry is to be patient, stay diligent, and make sure you are truly passionate about the work you do. Success comes from putting your heart into your career, building meaningful relationships, and remaining committed to making a positive impact.
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that are most important to me, both personally and professionally, are integrity, family, and always prioritizing the well-being of my clients. I believe trust is built by doing what is right, being honest, and putting the needs of others first. Whether I am supporting a client or spending time with my family, I strive to lead with compassion, respect, and genuine care.
