Ten minutes with Sarah

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best advice I live by is do what you say you're going to do. And I think that crosses business and life, personal.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Find something that you're passionate about, and can connect with. And always work hard and do your best. But have good boundaries. Because saving the world is a hard job. You gotta get good sleep at night.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Challenges lead back to funding which has been very volatile. ... the opportunity lies in connecting with younger individuals, families, college students, even kids, who are motivated to make a difference through community cleanups, collecting items, smaller donations.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Having fun, being honest, and communicating clearly. And making a big impact. And bringing others along on the ride.
