About Sarah
Sarah Hussain, MD, is a physician practicing in Dayton, Ohio, with Kettering Health Network since 2009. She finished medical school in 1991 and has been in practice since 2000, holding board certifications in family medicine and sleep medicine after self-preparing for and passing the sleep medicine boards in 2011. Now focused entirely on sleep medicine, she previously directed the Sleep Lab for nearly a decade and continues to integrate her primary care background into patient care. Outside clinical work, Sarah has volunteered for over 10 years at a free clinic in downtown Dayton, organized community health fairs, delivered talks on health maintenance and sleep disorders, and served on boards of multiple organizations. She emphasizes the importance of balancing career, family, and faith through discipline and a holistic approach to well-being.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
You can achieve the highest in your career and do not have to sacrifice on your family or your faith or your belief or your activity. You can do it all. Life can be very balanced if you approach in a balanced way. You have to be very disciplined from the get-go.
