Her Story

About Sarah

Sarah Kostyszyn is the Regional Customer Success Manager for the Northeast at HeartFlow, a medical software company that post-processes cardiac CT scans using AI-driven technology. Based in East Haven, Connecticut, she leads a multidisciplinary team of clinical field specialists, implementation managers, and solutions engineers across a territory stretching from New York to Maine. Under her leadership, the region achieved 112% of its FFRct quota and served more than 10,000 patients in a single quarter. She has held her current role since July 2025, building her team from several open positions and guiding each member through individualized development plans.

Kostyszyn entered radiology in 2011, starting as an X-ray technologist before advancing into CT imaging at Yale New Haven Health and Stamford Health, where she served as a lead CT technologist at an accredited stroke center and Level 2 trauma center. In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, she moved from clinical practice into the industry as a CT application specialist. She then progressed through the roles of Senior CT Application Specialist and Implementation Manager. As a senior specialist, she consistently exceeded her quarterly quotas in 2023 and helped expand the Greater New York Metro territory by 28 new accounts.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Radiation Science Technology from the University of Cincinnati, along with ARRT certification and a coronary CTA certification. Kostyszyn has also completed Richardson Consultative Selling and Consultative Coaching training and serves on the Women in Leadership board at the University of New Haven, where she contributes to course development and supports women’s professional growth. She supports the Colby Fund, a Maine organization that assists families who have lost a child. Outside of work, she enjoys crafting, a book club, and time with family and friends.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Sarah

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success primarily to my own determination, ambition, and willingness to pursue opportunities. I did not have a single mentor who shaped my path, so I relied on persistence. I have faced setbacks, including applying for positions I did not receive, but those experiences strengthened my commitment to keep moving forward rather than abandon my goals.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice is to never give up. There will be bumps along the road, and at times the journey will feel discouraging. If a career is something you truly want, you have to keep pushing and keep trying. Setbacks and rejection are part of professional growth, and they should never be allowed to dictate your long-term decisions.
