About Sarah

Sarah Mcclure serves as Founder and President of 808blinks Incorporated, a for-profit C-Corp focused on AI technology development, and Founder and CEO of its subsidiary nonprofit Hi.neighbor. Through these organizations she is embarking on criminal justice reform by creating AI software designed for use in courts to reduce bias in sentencing and in-court appearances for non-violent offenses. The nonprofit operates a call center run by community servicers to help individuals comply with community service requirements from home, while also educating callers about available alternatives and providing on-the-job training and experience. With over six years invested in these endeavors, Mcclure brings a creative approach to problem-solving honed through her earlier career as a hairstylist for 30 years following her GED. She later pursued studies as a single mother in liberal arts, transferred to university to focus on environmental studies with a geography emphasis, and earned a minor in environmental studies. She is now planning to return to major in Business Administration. Her work aims to expand the pilot program across all 50 states within five years, beginning with a prototype in Hawaii.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Sarah

01What do you attribute your success to?

Struggling as well as people doubting one person can make a difference or that people are their pasts and defined by their steryotypes.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Don't give up pick a goal and stick to it modify plans if need only so you can keep trying to achieve your goal but never give up on it . The 1 percent out there never gave up that is what separates winners from quilters.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

NEVER GIVE UP AND NEVER LISTEN TO PEOPLES OPPINION OF YOU OR WEATHER YOU CAN SUCCEED OR NOT ONlY YOU DECIDE AND DETERMINE THOSE.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The size of my snowball are both for me . Harder to start the roll of a big one hard to keep track of a bunch of small ones. If I am going to set out to reach a goal I'm going to set for the most unbelievable to achieve that way if I dont succeed it's not my fault, it's not possible ,but if I do achieve it then I set the bar for others to reach, separating even more the quitters from winners . Im addicted to now the victory of achieving the unachievable. The feeling you get inside when someone says you can't, even if it is you saying it ,and then you do. It is unbelievable it's worth striving for.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Become your work 100 percent . Live the struggle and strive for breaking barriers that tell you you cant. When you find out you can do anything you put your mind to true freedom then belongs to you . You pick your battles. Choose wisely and chose only to win. If you dont chose that then your already lost.
