Her Interview
Ten minutes with Sarah
01What do you attribute your success to?
I would probably say ambition. If you get too comfortable you kind of stay in place. A big boost in where I got in my career was just having a tremendous amount of ambition, always wanting to move on to the next thing that will make me even better.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Don't be afraid to speak up if you feel like something could be better or if something's being done incorrectly. Make sure that you're voicing your opinion in the correct chain of command.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Have a direction of what route you want to go, but understand that it can always change, and not necessarily in a bad way, but it can change in a way that you weren't expecting that makes your route even better. Don't be hard on yourself along the journey. If things change, it's okay.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity is one of the biggest things. You want to trust them, but it's difficult because you can see that there's a lack of integrity. You respect others, and others respect you more if they sense that you have integrity, and that you are a person of your word.
