Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to God, I found my purpose in life, and I am very fortunate that he heard my prayers. He gave me the strength to trust myself and he lead me down the path created for me.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Surround yourself with like minded people, and people who elevate and inspire you.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

As I have navigated through different roles in the senior care industry I found myself and my passion for serving. My advice would be to never lose focus of your mission and your passions. Align yourself with like minded and supportive individuals, and then pay the support forward.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

There are so many people who need help and not enough people to help them. Or people willing to actually listen to their needs. We want to tell people what to do. Not listen to what they want and need. When dealing with the elderly especially earlier stages of dementia it’s important to know who the person is and was in their younger years. Stop and take the time to have a conversation before making life changing choices on the behalf of other people. If you see something say something and be apart of positive change.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I believe that if you do good, good comes back to you. Success to me isn’t monetary it’s knowing I helped give someone a voice and they feel heard and know they are loved. My honesty is what has made my business a success. I don’t always have the answers but I don’t give up until there is a solution.
