Q

What do you attribute your success to?

Honestly, I personally attribute my success to the Lord. Creativity is not something that, in my opinion, is man-made. It's not something you can give yourself. I feel like he blessed me with the gift of creativity to not just use it for my own self, but to use it to empower other people, in whatever form that is. And I can honestly say, once I started using the gift of creativity to uplift and help others around me, that's when my business really started flourishing more. So I would say I would attribute it to my faith. And also the people that are around me, that's in my immediate close circle that has taken the time to encourage me, cultivate, and also collaborate with me. That's very important. Sometimes in the corporate world, it can be dog-eat-dog, you always have to watch your back. But then, as an entrepreneur, something that I am learning in my second year of business, it's all about collaborations and connections, and really putting yourself out there, and the people you surround yourself with.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best advice I’ve received came from my first paying client, who taught me how to position myself as a professional, understand contract language, and recognize the value of my services. That guidance helped me navigate the business side of creative work and set a strong foundation for my career.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would tell young women to practice strong boundaries and effective time management to protect their creative energy. It’s also important to prioritize collaborations and connections—surround yourself with people who uplift, encourage, and cultivate your work.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in social media marketing is keeping up with the fast pace of platform and algorithm changes, as well as managing the emotional demands of constantly producing creative content. At the same time, there are significant opportunities in supporting small local businesses to harness social media effectively, which can create meaningful impacts on both the business and the wider community.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Faith, creativity, collaboration, community impact, and maintaining healthy boundaries are the core values I prioritize in both my professional and personal life.
