About Sarah

My career with AT&T started almost 15 years ago when life threw me a curveball. My husband had been in an accident at work, and I needed to provide for my two babies at home. During my interview, the district manager asked me what would make me successful here, and I told him honestly that I have two babies at home to take care of, and they need to be provided for. I started as a sales rep for about 5 years, learning the business from the ground up. After just 2 months as an assistant manager, they promoted me to manager, where I spent about 6 to 7 years leading my team. About 2 years ago, I was promoted to my current role as district manager. My typical day consists of early morning conference calls where we go over expectations and performance, checking in with my team to make sure their operations are completed before 11 a.m., and visiting one or two locations to observe operations and sales performance. When someone on the team is struggling, it's my job to sit down and find out what the gap is, whether it's a knowledge gap or an issue gap, and correct those behaviors so that individual is performing and making money. In 2024, I was awarded Quarter 3 MVP for Operations, and in 2022 and 2023, I was recognized as part of Women of Prime for influential leadership.
