Her Interview

Ten minutes with Sarena

01What do you attribute your success to?

My determination to never give up on myself.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice that I've ever received would be to maximize off of your transferable skills. With every position that you made be interested in. You may not hit all of the qualifications, but you have to be able to still and you have to know what matches when it comes to those transferable skills. That's pretty much built me up in my career.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Advice to women entering the industry would be that every day is an opportunity. You don't know everything, so you have to enter into any situation with the positive outlook.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Opportunities to maximize and grow the company statewide in the state of Mississippi, with hiring happening throughout the state. I couldn't think of specific challenges right now.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Accountability is most important. In work life, you have to be accountable for your actions and what you contribute to a company. In personal life, you can't grow without accountability. You have to have that type of quality or value within yourself to succeed.
