Sarojini Seemungal

Sarojini Seemungal serves as Director for Case Management at one of the health systems in New York. With 17 years of experience as a nurse and seven years in leadership, she oversees operations to ensure patients receive the appropriate level of care and are safely discharged to their optimal health destinations. Her passion for leadership developed from observing her father's role as a manager in Guyana, inspiring her to influence others positively. She earned a doctorate focused on creating healthy work environments and launched a mentorship academy with her business partner to help emerging and current leaders foster authentic, compassionate environments where employees feel they belong. Seemungal also serves as a professor teaching nursing students in clinical settings on weekends and has participated in ANCC and NEONL, the New York Leadership organization, on their education and planning committee. She advises aspiring women leaders to believe in themselves and seek supportive people, having switched from nurse practitioner studies to pursue leadership after encouragement from her business partner.
